PLEASE NOTE: was founded as a public service toĪmateur and professional woodworkers who enjoy using and/or restoring vintage machinery. The dresser for the right hand wheel (the rectangular block on the right) is an addition, note - this item is of my own design, nothing to do with Black & Decker and just happens to be in the photo. Note:- In the photos: the rocker holder (spigot and threaded column) have been remade. Power is 600 watts (input), valve stem accommodation is 6mm to 17.5mm diameter. It is a very heavy and robust machine for what it does, and in my opinion somewhat over engineered, but as with all these old machines it would not have survived otherwise. This Black & Decker Valvemaster Refacer is able to reface accurately the valve face, the end of the valve stem and the contact face of the rocker. The coolant pump has been substituted with a separate oil scavenge pump driven from a battery charger, and some of the rocker attachment parts have been remade. All parts were usable with exception of the coolant pump and the rocker refacing attachment which had rusted beyond redemption. When I purchased it about a year ago it had clearly stood outdoors for a long time - there was literally grass growing out of it! The usual full 'nut & bolt' restoration followed. This machine was built in the UK in about 1960.
